I am an experienced project assistant with a strong educational background. As a psychology graduate and a qualified teacher, I bring a unique blend of skills and experience that make me a valuable asset as a junior project coordinator. My career has been characterised by a solid commitment to improving the lives of children and young people in diverse communities, primarily through roles as a Special Educational Needs (SEND) Officer within various local authorities.

Core responsibilities included collaboration with teachers, parents, and external specialists to develop personalized education plans that address the unique needs of each student. Advocating for inclusive practices, ensuring that educational environments are accessible and supportive for all learners.
Negotiation of funding contracts and school places. Managing a high caseload and ensuring cases are processed through to completion.
Responsible for design and implementation of engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, adapting teaching methods to cater to different learning needs within the classroom. Responsible for effective communication with parents and colleagues and any external multi agency professionals (social care, therapists).
Bridging the Gap is a small charity focused on matching mentors with mentee vulnerable adults. As an assistant coordinator I assisted the coordinator in all areas of the development of the charity, including reviewing and editing policy documents, designing and maintaining a website for engagement, recruitment and training of volunteer mentors, collaborating with partner organisations and assisting with funding applications.
