Opleiding
Gender Studies equiped me with crucial tools for analyzing social and cultural relations in today's postcolonial and post-secular societies, with a focus on emancipation, the recognition of differences, and the intersections of gender with other identity markers such as class, race, age, and sexuality. Through this interdisciplinary program, I gained analytical skills and a deep understanding of social justice, while engaging in a diverse, international academic environment. Key modules include the Feminist Toolbox, Feminist Research Practice, Post- and De-colonial Transitions, and Art and Affect, providing a comprehensive foundation in critical theory and praxis. My thesis explored the Decolonization of the Self, further deepening my expertise in addressing complex identity and social transformation issues. Graduates are trained to become 'agents of change,' well-equipped to contribute to inclusive, equitable futures.
During my Master's in Social Policy and Public Health, I gained essential tools for analyzing social and cultural relations, with a focus on emancipation, recognizing differences, and understanding the intersections of gender, class, race, age, and sexuality. Through an interdisciplinary approach, I developed advanced analytical skills in social justice, supported by modules such as Interventions and Policies and Capabilities Theory. My thesis involved conducting a realistic evaluation of disability policy across three countries, which enhanced my ability to critically assess public policies and their impact on marginalized populations. This experience deepened my understanding of policy development and evaluation, empowering me to contribute meaningfully to future social policy initiatives.

Ervaring
Partaking in the production of knowledge products showcasing the Liliane Foundation's expertise in uplifting and supporting children and youth with a disability around the world. I was particularly involved in the production and development of a best practice guide in the livelihood thematic area, where I organised bi-weekly webinars with LF partners, and then co-wrote and co-edited the content of the guide.
