'La gente es la única que puede cambiar la sociedad' (Humankind is the only one that can change society) - Rigoberta Menchú
Rigoberta Menchú, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 and human rights activist in Guatemala, and I have something in common: we both want to commit ourselves to achieving a better world. In contrast with Menchú, I was raised in a safe and stable environment with access to essentials such as education and healthcare. From up close I have seen that this can be different, and this is why I want to dedicate myself to contribute to a just an equal society for everyone.
I have experience in monitoring and evaluation of data and work with programs such as Excel, Tableau and Monday. Moreover, I process data and turn into appealing donor communication, with programs such as Infogram and Mailchimp.

Ervaring
100WEEKS gives weekly direct cash transfers to the poorest women in communities for a period of 100 weeks. The women can decide for themselves how they spend this money. As M&E manager I am responsible for coordinating the planning and execution of surveys in the field (Rwanda, Uganda, Ivory Coast and Ghana), and proper processing of the data from these surveys for the donor communication. Once the data is ready, I transform it into communication content for our donors.
At VluchtelingenWerk (the Refugee Council) I advised and guided refugees on the asylum procedure and the family reunification procedure.
I carried out deskresearch on the topic of gender sensitivity in the Dutch asylum procedure and delivered a report on my findings.
RUNOMI is a university broad network where over 80 scholars work together in the field of research, education and collaboration with social actors in the domain of migrant inclusion studies. I organized lectures, seminars and conferences, assisted the director and the officer with different tasks such as finalizing research proposals for funding.
