I am a committed researcher with experience in conducting qualitative and
transdisciplinary research projects in various social development fields. I
feel a deep concern for the way systems operate to exclude or include people,
and believe that participatory research and processes of knowledge cocreation
with various stakeholders can contribute to more inclusive
innovations in various public arena’s, including (mental) health and wellbeing,
education, work, environment, etc. I love to do field work and analyze data
in order to better understand the complex relationships between individual
people and various contexts of life.
Opleiding
PhD research based on action-research methodology on suicide behaviour and global health interventions to prevent stress, anxiety and depression in Indian middle-class youth.
Ervaring
Ik functioneer bij het Athena instituut als onderzoeker en begeleider van PhD studenten in o.a India en Nederland op het gebied van mentale gezondheid en minderheidsgroepen, met specifieke focus op inclusieve en toegankelijke zorg. Ik heb hierbinnen een specifieke interesse voor jongeren en ouders, en kijk ook naar onderwijsverbeteringen.
