Ervaring

Environmental Expert (Postdoc) @ Shanxi Agricultural University, China
apr 2022 — mrt 2025

This research focuses on ensuring environmental compliance, assessing impacts, and promoting sustainability within organizations. Key objectives include monitoring adherence to regulations, conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and implementing sustainability initiatives like
waste reduction and energy conservation. The study aims to establish robust environmental
management systems (EMS), engage stakeholders through collaboration and outreach, and provide training to foster environmental responsibility. Additionally, it emphasises accurate environmental reporting, including compliance documentation and performance metrics, to inform decision-making. By integrating these strategies, the research seeks to mitigate ecological risks, enhance regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance while fostering transparency and stakeholder trust.

University Research Associate @ Tianjin University, China
sep 2018 — mrt 2023

This study investigates the distribution and control of bioaerosols and airborne antibiotic resistance
genes (ARGs) in chicken farms, focusing on seasonal variations (winter/summer). Objectives include
analyzing ARGs, mobile genetic elements (MGEs), and bacterial communities in air and feces,
identifying transmission pathways, and assessing environmental influences on ARG distribution and
horizontal/vertical gene transfer (HGT/VGT). Innovations involve clarifying airborne ARG transmission
routes and evaluating microwave (MW) technology with Fe3O4@SiCcf for inactivating bacterial, fungal,
and viral aerosols. The study also explores post-treatment HGT frequencies of ARGs under MW and UV irradiation. Findings aim to enhance understanding of ARG dissemination and advance mitigation strategies in livestock environments, contributing to public health and sustainable farming practices

Environmental Manager @ World Wildlife Fund WWF. Pakistan
jun 2016 — aug 2018

This project focuses on developing sustainable waste management systems aligned with WWF's conservation goals. Key activities include waste characterization through audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assessing innovative technologies like recycling and waste-to-energy solutions. The study emphasizes community engagement through education programs and collaborates with stakeholders to promote responsible waste practices. Data-driven monitoring and evaluation frameworks will track waste generation, disposal rates, and intervention effectiveness. By integrating scientific analysis with participatory approaches, the project aims to minimize environmental impact, enhance recycling efforts, and establish scalable waste management models that support ecological sustainability and community

Environmental Engineer @ Lahore Waste Management Company
apr 2014 — jun 2016

This project aims to establish sustainable waste-to-energy (WtE) solutions through feasibility studies, waste stream analysis, and optimal technology selection (incineration, anaerobic digestion, gasification). Key responsibilities include designing WtE facilities with multidisciplinary teams, conducting EIAs to mitigate environmental/health impacts, and implementing emissions control systems. The project will optimize energy recovery efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and air quality standards. Monitoring programs will track performance metrics, emissions, and energy output, with transparent reporting to stakeholders. By converting waste into electricity/heat, the initiative addresses waste management challenges, reduces landfill dependence, and contributes to circular economy goals, balancing ecological and energy needs.

Health Safety Environment Engineer @ Mechatronics Engineering for UEPL Pakistan Exploration and Production
okt 2013 — mrt 2014

This project ensures responsible resource exploration through rigorous HSE and environmental safeguards. Key priorities include: Site assessments to evaluate geological, hydrological, and ecological risks; contractor HSE compliance; and emergency preparedness for spills/accidents. The project enforces regulatory adherence, biodiversity conservation, and waste management (hazardous/non-hazardous). Erosion control and sediment mitigation protect land/water quality, while spill prevention/response protocols minimize contamination risks. Post-exploration, land reclamation plans restore ecosystems or repurpose sites sustainably. By integrating these measures, the project balances exploration goals with environmental protection, ensuring minimal ecological disruption and long-term stakeholder trust.

Health Safety Environment Supervisor @ Mechtronics Engineering for UEPL Pakistan Exploration and Production
jul 2012 — nov 2013

This project focuses on reducing GHG emissions and enhancing HSE standards in oil/gas exploration. Key initiatives include: Emission monitoring & reporting for regulatory compliance; LDAR programs to detect methane leaks; and flaring/venting reduction through gas capture technologies. Safety protocols address methane hazards, while emergency plans mitigate accidental releases. Environmental impact assessments pre-activity identify emission risks, and waste management minimizes ecological harm. By integrating these measures, the project ensures operational efficiency, worker/community safety, and alignment with climate goals balancing resource extraction with environmental stewardship.

Junior Field Engineer @ MMP(NPIW) Pvt. Ltd
jun 2011 — mei 2012

This project focuses on enhancing irrigation efficiency through comprehensive watercourse rehabilitation. Key activities include: Survey verification and design authentication for watercourse lining projects using advanced software tools. The team will analyze seepage losses in unlined channels and validate designs for both lined/unlined structures. During implementation, strict construction supervision and quality control measures will ensure durable infrastructure. By combining technical precision with modern design software, the project aims to optimize water delivery, reduce losses, and improve agricultural productivity while maintaining cost-effectiveness and engineering standards.
