Workshop Child Centred Community Development and Education

The overall aim of the CCCD workshops is to create a forum for exchange of experience, as well as develop policies, instruments and procedures with regard to CCCD. The workshops aim to link academic insight with day-to-day practice. By bringing together academics and practitioners from organisations and institutions with expertise, knowledge and experience on the subject, a 'community of practice' is being supported.

The workshop in 2008 focuses on education and aims to contribute to the further development of policies and operational guidelines with regard to improving access to quality education for marginalised children within the framework of Child Centred Community Development.

The workshop is aimed at senior or mid-level staff of development organisations, who are directly dealing with enhancing access to quality education for children, and who have a firm ground in the implementation of projects. The maximum number of participants is 20, and selection will be made on the basis of relevant experience and diversity. The workshop language will be English. For this reason we will only accept applications in English.  The workshop fee is 1500,- euro for the five days including accomodation, meals and training materials.

If you would like to participate in the workshop, kindly send a email with your motivation and curriculum vitae to Context, international cooperation to the attention of Marieke Sterenborg mst@developmenttraining.org before July 14, 2008. Please include your full name and contact details, your organisation and your position.
