May 30 and May 31, 2005 Pax Christi Netherlands (PXC.NL) shall organise a workshop on community based responses to armed violence. This workshop aims to be a stepping stone for the formulation of community action perspectives on curbing armed violence in the absence of effective state provided security. The workshop assembles civil society security initiatives from a variety of situations, policy makers and academic experts.
