Security Management Initiative (SMI)/HPCR International:
Originally launched in 2004 by the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University, SMI is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland, as a project of HPCR International. SMI is a research and training project designed to serve the international aid community and its national and international staff. SMI was created to address the challenges faced by international organisations by providing authoritative research, training and advisory services in risk and security management.
Centre for Safety and Development (CSD):
CSD is an independent not-for-profit organisation that aims to contribute to the security and the safety of aid workers. It seeks to achieve this objective by offering a range of professional and accessible training courses, consultancy and services to NGOs and other humanitarian organisations worldwide. In 2008 CSD received a CEDEO-certificate for high quality training courses. CEDEO is part of Lloyd’s Register Group.
