Le Guess Who? is looking for a marketing & content intern from August to November. As an intern you will have a valuable role within the marketing team and will gain insight into the preparations for Le Guess Who? 2025 (6-9 November).

About Le Guess Who?

Widely considered to be one of the most forward-thinking festivals around, Le Guess Who? exists to promote sounds that are often overlooked, and to platform fresh perspectives on what is possible in music. Artists from all over the world offer an insight into the unprecedented diversity of human creativity.

We believe that music has the power to stimulate new insights and ideas, while also deepening our connection with the world around us. Our mission:

U?, our freely accessible city program, celebrates local and creative communities based in the Netherlands, with a strong focus on Utrecht. COSMOS is our hybrid platform highlighting independent music scenes from around the world.

Marketing & content internship

As a marketing & content intern you will participate as a full member of the LGW team and will have the opportunity to get insight into the preparation and marketing of the festival. During the internship you will support in the daily tasks, but we also encourage you to put forward your own personal ideas: initiative and creativity are highly valued. Depending on your interests, we can focus the internship more on visual content or written content or a combination of both.

We are looking for an intern from August to November for approximately 16 hours per week (exact hours to be negotiated).

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Researching festival artists and their background stories for promo and content purposes;
  • Assisting in the execution of marketing actions, aimed at specific genres, artists or audiences;
  • Researching and making plans for new social media developments such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube;
  • Creating social media content, both for Le Guess Who?, U? and COSMOS;
  • Writing news items and updating artist information on the website;
  • Maintaining playlists for LGW and U?;
  • Creating (bi)weekly newsletters;
  • Managing the merchandise stand during the festival (together with volunteers).

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is creative, shows initiative and can work both independently and in a team;
  • Is curious and likes to delve into new music, art and unknown stories;
  • Has a specific interest in marketing and communication and wants to personally develop in these fields. Previous marketing experience isn’t mandatory;
  • Has a good command of the English language (including in writing);
  • Preferably has some basic skills in Adobe Photoshop/InDesign/Premiere;
  • Resides in the Netherlands.

  • The organization of Le Guess Who? consists of a small team, which gives you an inspiring and interesting look behind the scenes of the festival, not only in terms of marketing, but also in terms of programming and production;
  • You can fill in your hours flexibly;
  • A compensation of €350,- per month for a full-time internship, plus reimbursement of possible travel expenses.
