Reduce Your Fashion Footprint

-
As much as we all love expressing ourselves through our clothes, we cannot overlook the negative impact of the fashion industry, which includes large carbon emissions, water pollution and poor working conditions.

Want to find out what exactly goes into making your clothes? Join this Young Impactmakers event in collaboration with CollAction and the CollAction Slow Fashion Season!

What to expect?

This event will give you practical tips on how you can become a more conscious fashion consumer. Three speakers will offer different perspectives on the fashion value chain – from production to branding to consumption what happens to garments when you get rid of them.

After the talks and brainstorm on the real-life cases brought by our speakers, Awearness Kollektif will host a clothing swap! Give your clothes a second life and find new pieces for your wardrobe!

Speakers

  • The Next Closet – Bas Willemse
  • Teym – Maxime Cartens
  • TBA

What does it cost?

It’s (almost) free! Just bring in one or more items for the clothing swap to the event as your entry ‘ticket’. Please make sure that your items are clean and in good condition (i.e. no holes or missing buttons missing).

About Collaction

The Slow Fashion Season is an initiative by CollAction. CollAction.org is the world’s first crowdacting platform and offers a new solution for collective action problems. These are problems we (almost) all contribute to – such as climate change, plastic soup, etc. – but are difficult to solve as an individual. Therefore, we combine forces on our platform and act collectively to make the world an even better place.
