Development cooperation operates in an uncertain and complex context. This requires responding collectively to longstanding challenges, fast-paced changes and emerging issues that are inherent to our current “way of doing” development. During this festival, we will explore innovative and transformative ways to anticipate these uncertainties and complexities. In particular, we will focus on inspiring innovations, both from within and outside development cooperation, that can inspire and inform us to increase our impact. In spring 2021, Partos initiated a new Future exploration trajectory to define “dynamic and adaptive future pathways” that can withstand uncertain and complex futures. On that same wavelength, we want to organise a festival that brings new perspectives for collaborating towards an inclusive, just and sustainable future of development that works for everyone.
What can you expect and experience?
A day full of inspiration, innovation and interaction, hosted live by Mariken Gaanderse and Dzifah Kusenuh at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. You can be part of the interactive informative sessions, inspirational talks and the “Collaborative Innovation Awards” ceremony of 2021. There will be sessions on new ways of working together, civic space, shifting the power, engagement & inclusion, digital challenges & opportunities, youth movements, activism, gender, climate change and shifts in communication. Of course, we are developing our programme in co-creation with our members and partners.
The festival will be mostly held online as we wish to reach all corners of the world. We are looking forward to opening our (virtual) doors again to welcome you to the Innovation Festival. Let’s keep our eyes on the horizon and register now for a day full of inspiration!
