There were women producing wine and hazelnuts, women running hotels, women in the logistics sector, women delivering training in food safety and brainstorming, and more! Everything was organised perfectly by our partner, the Women Business Council of Georgia (WBCG) and the Netherlands Embassy in Tbilisi. Yet again, it was a dynamic group and, working together, we identified each woman’s unique talent and defined her short-term and long-term plans. We also worked on the women’s mini-pitches and what they wish to achieve while in the Netherlands. Read all about it in their Profiles BrilliantEntrepreneur-Georgia. Yvette and Karen stayed two days longer and took the opportunity to visit some of the entrepreneurs at work and, of course, to enjoy the beautiful city of Tbilisi on 8 March, International Women’s Day, a public holiday in Georgia!
Business visit to the Netherlands
Now we – the entrepreneurs and us – are preparing for their visit to the Netherlands from 13 to 19 May. While Yvette and Karen will give a training session on Monday 14 May, Handelsroute will arrange business visits and other meetings during the rest of the week with companies and organisations in the Netherlands that are of interest to the Georgian women.
A full day of training is planned for Monday 14 May. A pitch workshop by the Pitch Queen Nathalie Mangelaars will be held in the afternoon. The Georgian entrepreneurs are more than happy to have you as an audience to present their pitches to! You are welcome to join us from 5.00 to 7.00 p.m. on 14 May at the Pier in Scheveningen/The Hague. The pitches will be followed by networking drinks. Yes, I would like to join!
