Join the AMID Networking Event: The why and how of decolonizing development

-

Join the first online AMID networking event and enter in an engaging dialogue about decolonizing development. What does it refer to and what are its implications for development practice? On April 14th, we explore these and other questions with two guest speakers and you: the AMID community.

With the help of moderator Gigi Ong-Alok (AMID alumnus) we set out to deepen the dialogue about decolonizing development. We speak with Themrise Khan, a development professional who recently blogged about the term being a ‘comfortable buzzword for the aid sector’. She will be joined by a yet to be confirmed guest sharing light on what it entails for practitioners in the field to work on decolonizing development.

After engaging in an open discussion, the audience is welcome to join breakout rooms, to dive into the topic even deeper in smaller groups. A great way to meet new people and expand your professional network, while learning and sharing at the same time. After a final, short, plenary session, for those who want to catch up break-out rooms will be re-opened: grab a drink, some food and let’s connect!
