Are you passionate about feminism, staying on top of details, and keeping finances running smoothly?

We’re looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Officer to join our international team and be an important part of the day-to-day operations within the finance department.

Location: The Netherlands (Hybrid)

Start Date: August 1, 2025 

Type of contract: 32 hours per week, one-year contract with a one-month probation period

About the role 

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Administration Associate to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is responsible for the day-to-day operations within our Finance department. The ideal candidate will handle invoicing, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, project liaison, controlling and reporting, and will assist in the annual accounts audit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and book invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity in financial reporting.
  • Liaise with project departments to support financial project controlling and reporting.
  • Assist with preparing documentation and information for the annual accounts audit.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting, including data visualization and forecasting.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports to management.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures against budget allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP financial policies and procedures.

Who are we looking for? 

  • Master and or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of project accounting and donor reporting.
  • Experience in Year End closing and annual audit preparation
  • 4 – 6 years working in an international finance department
  • Proven experience in finance and project accounting administration, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • High proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proactive team player with attention to detail.
  • Good command of both speaking and writing English language skills
