Stichting Liliane Fonds is on a short term looking for a program manager.

This is a paid position for 32 hours per week (0.84 FTE)

In the countries where the Liliane Fonds is active, projects and programs are implemented by a network of partner organisations and managed by a local grant manager. For that purpose, Liliane Fonds concludes cooperation agreements with the grant manager. The grant manager, in turn, concludes cooperation agreements with local partner organisations that ensure the realisation of these programs within the set frameworks and agreements.

Liliane Fonds fosters local ownership, where (networks of) local organisations are leading the project and program design and implementation. Furthermore, Liliane Fonds has a strong commitment to organisational and network development as a way to enhance structural change and impact of its efforts.

As a program manager you are responsible for coordinating the (development of) projects and programs in the countries in your portfolio and monitoring the implementation of these projects and programs in line with agreed plans and budgets. To this effect, you coordinate the multidisciplinary input of other Liliane Fonds employees. In addition you contribute to institutional fundraising and you are the point of contact for projects and programs financed by Liliane Fonds and for specific country-related topics.

As a program manager you are part of the organisational development team within the IPP department and you receive hierarchical leadership from the team manager.

 

What are you going to do?

As responsible for the projects and programs in the countries in your portfolio, you facilitate the development of (multi-)annual plans and additional projects by partner organisations in the countries in your portfolio. You coordinate the multidisciplinary input of colleagues, support the implementation and monitor & report timely and adequately on progress to the project owner and/or donor. Besides that, you also facilitate contract management.

You share potential funding options with the institutional fundraising team and other relevant people, provide input for the development of proposals from partner organisations and, if necessary, help write (part of) proposals.

As the point of contact for country- and related programs in your portfolio, you participate in meetings within the team, department and organisation and discuss important and relevant developments regarding programs in these countries. You provide relevant information to other people, teams and departments within the organisation and ensure that necessary information is obtained in a timely manner. Finally, you contribute to communication requests and to the positioning of Liliane Fonds in relevant networks, conferences, meetings, etc. You maintain contacts with fellow organisations.

 

Who are you?

You are proactive, you have strong analytical skills, can reduce complex problems to their core and are able to arrive at substantiated opinions and judgments. Previous experience shows passion, enthusiasm and a drive for the disability field.

What do you bring?

  • Master degree in a relevant area
  • Several years of relevant work experience in the global south
  • Senior knowledge and experience in the field of program management and remote support and guidance of programs
  • Experience with PMEL, Lobby & Advocacy, finance, fundraising
  • Knowledge about organisational development, network building
  • Passion, enthusiasm and drive for working with marginalised groups and for the inclusion of children with disabilities
  • Good oral and written communication skills, both in Dutch and English. Proficiency in French is an advantage
