We are looking for an awesome senior software engineer to scale our crowdfunding platform for financial return and sustainable impact. Our cutting-edge platform bringing change-making entrepreneurs and impact investors together.


What you will do

  • Collaborate with our Product Owner, two Software Engineers and other stakeholders to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Take ownership, propose and implement cutting-edge technologies and improvements to our platform architecture.
  • Design and prototype new ideas, implement new features, connect with external systems, and optimize existing code to improve quality and usability.
  • Perform code reviews, improve test processes and continuous integration pipelines to deliver new features rapidly.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of our platform remains top-notch.


Some of the challenges you will be taking on

  • Redesign our financial accounting and transaction engine. This will be a tough challenge requiring your technical and collaboration skills.
  • Integrate third party applications and our microservices with APIs.
  • Improve our administration portal to further automate/ avoid manual processes.
  • Continuously improve our Agile software development process (CI/CD) and team collaboration.


What you will bring

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience of building and releasing web applications, both frontend and backend.
  • Experience working with technologies like NodeJS, JavaScript/ Typescript, REST API and SQL (PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and solutions (e.g. Lambda and ECS).
  • Experience with testing, code versioning and release management. Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
  • Affinity with sustainability and finance.
  • You want to work in Amsterdam (on-site or hybrid) and have a valid permit to work in NL / EU.
