Job Summary

The HR Assistant is the first point of reference for Oxfam Novib staff regarding HR issues and is able to carry out the full range of HR administrative tasks independently. The HR Assistant also provides operational support to the HRP&C unit across the full range of the HR cycle.

 

Key Tasks

  • Facilitate and perform all HR-related administrative tasks, starting with recruitment and onboarding until the moment someone leave the organization;
  • Act as focal point for employees for HR related questions;
  • Ensure that the payroll mutations are accurate and processed in a timely manner;
  • In charge of recruitment & selection administrative task such as reviewing vacancy texts, positing vacancies, liaising with candidates as needed and making offers;
  • Responsible for the timely onboarding process of new employees (gathering and processing required paperwork and registrations, holding an HR induction meeting, and, if needed, provide assistance with regards to work and residence permits or 30% tax applications);
  • Guide employees exiting the organization through the offboarding process including an HR exit interview;
  • Responsible for accurate sickness absence records, monitor sickness absence in accordance with the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter;
  • Provide reports on key indicators based on the staff information system;
  • Suggest improvements to professionalize and streamline current HR processes and contribute to on-going HR projects;
  • Ensure that HR information is accessible to employees via the relevant internal communications channels and update this on a regular basis.

 

Who we are looking for?

  • You have a Bachelor in human resources, public or business administration, information systems or another relevant social science;
  • You have 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar HR administrative/operational role;
  • You have knowledge and experience with SuccessFactors;
  • You have strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • You have strong attention to detail and are able to work with confidential information;
  • You are people-oriented and are able to ensure employee experience is at the heart of what you do;
  • You are able to handle requests from multiple sources and work effectively individually as well as in a team in a multi-cultural environment with a focus on promoting diversity and inclusivity;
  • You are fluent in the English and Dutch language (both verbally and written).

Oxfam Novib offers a competitive and fair employment package, which we can justify to our donors. The gross salary for this full-time position is between €2.374,- and €3.652,- per month, excluding secondary benefits such as holiday allowance.
