Since my graduation at the Wageningen Agricultural University, I have gained a wide range of experience in supporting complex and comprehensive development processes in a large number of countries. In the past years, I have managed business units that hold responsibilities for programme and project implementation in close collaboration with partners, set up country offices, supported the development of service delivery organisations, provided training to staff at all levels, took responsibility for the development of linkages between public and private sector organisations and structured the reorientation of secondary and higher training institutes.
I evolved from a livestock development officer into an expert in transforming institutions during transitional processes and more recently transformed in a team manager in the development sector. In many of my assignments, the change process has played a prominent role. Change needs to take place in the organisation itself, through individual staff members, often because of changes in society. With qualities as flexibility, stability, able to cope with stress, having alternative solutions when problems pop up and facilitation skills I am able to achieve the required results. In my current role, I have successfully developed cooperation with partners in various countries, has carried out organisational assessments and co-created projects on skills training for youth and women with partners.
