Vacancy: Researcher & Community Engagement Coordinator

Location: Remote (Occasional In-Person Attendance for Events in Amsterdam)

Organization: Dave-Inder Comar B.V. as Management Company for Just Atonement Inc. (the Recipient of Services)

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, determined at the time of hiring

Salary: Competitive and based on experience, with a full-time gross annual salary ranging from €40,000 to €48,000. Part-time options are available with salary pro-rated accordingly.

About Us: Just Atonement Inc. is a legal non-profit that trains planetary defenders to address threats to human rights, a habitable planet, and the international rule of law. The organization is ECOSOC accredited with the United Nations and actively participates in UN mechanisms in New York and Geneva.

We are preparing for the 2026 relaunch of our impactful internship program. We are expanding our presence both online and within the local creative, activist and entrepreneurial community in Amsterdam and are aiming to foster a strong network of changemakers.

Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and creative Researcher & Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the digital content strategy for the NGO Just Atonement Inc. and support community engagement initiatives in Amsterdam.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about human rights issues as they pertain to planetary threats such as climate change and biodiversity loss.

The role will require:

  • Research tasks on human rights issues (30%)
  • Digital content creation and performance analysis (30%), with additional responsibilities in supporting the internship program (20%) and planning online and in-person community events (20%).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and review ongoing issues in human rights, climate change, and international law
  • Strategize, create, and manage LinkedIn content for both the NGO and the affiliated law firm.
  • Update and maintain the Just Atonement Inc.’s website with engaging content.
  • Develop, create, and manage engaging content (slideshow, picture, and video) for online platforms
  • Monitor digital trends and platform updates to inform and optimize content strategies.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of content campaigns to improve engagement and reach.
  • Collaborate on planning and executing the 2026 relaunch of the NGO's internship program, including implementing funding strategies and engaging with strategic partners.
  • Participate in UN mechanisms, particularly in Geneva.
  • Plan and organize community events in Amsterdam aimed at building a community of entrepreneurial social change-makers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in research and writing on human rights issues.
  • Proven experience in content creation and digital marketing across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Strong skills in graphic design, video editing, and content writing.
  • Experience with website content management systems (e.g. Squarespace).
  • Event planning experience, preferably within community or nonprofit organizations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with funding strategies and partnership outreach.
  • Knowledge of content performance analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
  • Experience working within the nonprofit sector or legal field, preferably focussed on human rights and/or climate change
  • Demonstrated passion for social change, with active involvement in or strong networks within social change communities, organizations, and movements in the Netherlands, particularly in Amsterdam.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
