About the DFCD program

The DFCD team consist of 10 people managed by the DFCD project manager and falls within the Green Finance Unit of WWF-NL. WWF-NL is one of the four consortium partners of the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development, which consists of two investors (FMO and Climate Fund Managers) and two NGO’s (WWF-NL and SNV).

WWF’s role - together with SNV - is to identify bankable climate projects and support them to become investment ready. Bankable projects are financially viable projects that support the development of more resilient landscapes and catalyze private investment in nature. Since the fund’s launch in 2019, we have supported 27 projects. We are now entering the phase to hand over these projects to the DFCD’s investors FMO and CFM, while at the same time we are preparing to scale up our work to support even more projects.
