Omschrijving

The recently established VOCAL Network is a global network of NGOs working on sustainability in coffee, tackling issues such as farmer and worker poverty, deforestation, and child labour. To help shape and grow the network, we are looking for a coordinator that will help run both the internal organisation as well as engage with external stakeholders in advocacy, network building, and dialogue. This exciting role provides a lot of opportunity to help build a collaboration that will impact the coffee sector for years to come
About VOCAL

VOCAL is a network of civil society groups working towards sustainability in coffee. It is a platform for provocative thinking, innovation and exploration of complexities that remain critical yet not fully understood. The network is designed to challenge prevailing assumptions and power structures, revisit the dominant narrative, and develop better narratives.

VOCAL is hosted by its sister network VOICE and works closely with and under the accountability of the VOICE board.

About the position

The coordinator runs the proper functioning of the network, both on content and on process. This includes being involved in the advocacy and publications of the organisation, as well as for the development and maintenance of relationships with different stakeholders in the global coffee sector. The coordinator is responsible for strengthening the coordination of the network and project management, and is also involved in strategy development and fundraising. The coordinator works closely with the staff of sister network VOICE in administration and finance, and reports to the VOICE Managing Director.
