What is Young Impactmakers?
Young Impactmakers (YIM) is a community of changemakers. We organize events to inspire and involve young people in impactful initiatives and careers. During these events we invite inspiring changemakers and/or do workshops related to change. The topics are based on the Sustainable Development Goals from United Nations (n.d.)*.
We are currently seeking volunteers in Amsterdam, Groningen, Eindhoven, Den Haag, and Nijmegen to join our taskforce teams. Each team consists of five volunteers who organize two local and two national events per year.

What are my tasks?
Organize events about topics that matter to you! You translate the coolest ideas and memorable themes into concrete events. For every event you will decide the topic with your team. You can either be team member or team lead. Every member helps to organize the events. As team lead you also communicate with our community manager.

What do we expect from you?
We expect you to bring ideas and new energy into your team. Organizing the events takes an average effort of 8-12 hours per month. You will commit for one year. As a team member or team lead, you will help build a local YIM community and organize impactful events.

Ok, and what do I get?
This opportunity consists of a lot of freedom; you decide what topics are relevant for the events. There will be a budget to finance the events and we have a location that you can use for events and meetings for free. Together with your teammates you develop a new skillset. Next to this you will meet a lot of like-minded people during the events! We know many impactful businesses and partners in the Netherlands, and as a part of the YIM team, you will have the opportunity to work with them, learn about more impactful initiatives, and expand your network. We offer training to support you and your team, depending on your needs at the time. Our community manager will be there to assist you whenever you need help.
