Palestine is more than a political conflict over land. It is about people, about human faces and stories, about suffering and about beauty. On the 31st of January, Horizons International invites you to experience the soul and spirit of the Palestinian society, through tales, music, food and photos. Because art and culture can convey what cannot be said with mere facts.

On the 31st of January, the Dutch participants of  the annual Horizons’ Study Trip to Palestine will organise their special event Horizons Presents: Humans of Palestine in CREA, Amsterdam. We hope you are ready to experience the soul and spirit of the Palestinian society through tales, music, food, photos and more.

A sneak peek into the program: 

  • Special guest speaker Hassan Muamer. Hassan is an architect and civil engineer, who will tell us about his advocacy to have his village Battir declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • A special perormance from Ibrahim Mousa. Ibrahim is a Palestinian actor and playwriter, known for his trilogy Transit. You can find an interview with him in Parool (Dutch) here.
