Camera Justitia Masterclass @ Movies that Matter Festival 2019

In this masterclass organized by the T.M.C. Asser Instituut and Movies that Matter during the Movies that Matter Festival 2019, international defence attorney Colleen Rohan is interviewed by Lousewies van der Laan about defending international criminal cases. Thereafter, the documentary The Trial of Ratko Mladic is screened.

Colleen Rohan has been a practicing criminal defence attorney for over 30 years; specialising in her domestic practice in serious felony and death penalty cases. Since 2005 she has served as counsel in the international courts at the ICTY and ICC. Rohan is a founding member of the International Criminal Law Bureau. She is a former president and current vice-president of the Association of Defence Counsel-Practicing before International Courts and Tribunals (ADC-ICT).

During the masterclass, she will tell about her work illustrated by scenes from films in this year’s Camera Justitia programme e.g. The Trial of Ratko Mladic and Acusada.

The masterclass is free of charge (no registration required). After the masterclass, the film The Trial of Ratko Mladic will be screened. Tickets for the screening are sold online and through the box-office.
