Journalistiek voor een eerlijke en duurzame wereld

An impressive line-up will be present during the benefit concert, consisting of artist who stand up for the inhabitants of the social eco-village Diamondiaal in Almere Oosterwold. Many vulnerable people are evicted from their houses last April because of a disagreement between renter and investor. Diamondiaal was once founded to create safe, inclusive and sustainable housing for refugees, vulnerable children and middle and low-income households. Inhabitants and volunteers, with more than 40 nationalities together, have since 2014 worked with a lot of compassion and engagement to build the eco-village. A village that now needs to make place for higher income households.

To stand up against gentrification and the eviction from their home, the money of the benefit concert will be used for the legal assistance for the 90 renters.
