Through international trade, colonialism and liberalism the city of Amsterdam played a critical part in shaping the world we live in today as well as the cultural inheritance of the West. This provides a compelling starting point for a series of talks and discussions about the role of art in contemporary society, the rewriting of art history and the future of the art market. The talks will offer you the opportunity to join these discussions and come up with concrete suggestions about how to create art histories and systems that reflect the values of a progressive society.
