In the second DARE Spring Academy a broad spectrum of methods for human rights education for (international) youth work will be presented. Therefore we will first discuss the origin and aims of human rights and in the next step exchange ideas about how the topic can be integrated into our own practice working with young people. This will be done through short specialist lectures and a variety of interactive methods, such as role-plays, simulation games, discussions in small groups etc. Dividing the participants into workshops with different aspects and focuses will allow an individual choice of subjects and an intensive work atmosphere in small groups. The full programme can be downloaded here (PDF).
This training of trainers is organised by the Democracy and Human Rights Education in Europe (DARE) Network in collaboration with International House Sonnenberg, HREA and other partners. Funding is provided by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union.
